About The Position

Scout Design Studio is seeking a meticulous, hands-on Quality Assurance & Packaging Associate to join their production team. This role is the final line of defense, ensuring furniture is perfect before it reaches clients' homes. The associate will inspect finished pieces, add final hardware, buff imperfections, and package each item securely, ensuring the final product matches the design team's vision and customer orders.

Requirements

Exceptional eye for detail, noticing small imperfections.
Comfortable using basic hand tools, power drills, and buffing equipment.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and maneuver heavy furniture pieces (often 50+ lbs) throughout the day.
Quality-driven mindset and pride in work.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to read and interpret sales orders accurately.
Ability to communicate defects back to the production team for correction.

Nice To Haves

Experience in furniture manufacturing, restoration, cabinet making, or high-end retail warehouse environments.

Responsibilities

Install hardware (handles, pulls, hinges), perform light buffing, and apply any final polishes or touch-ups to furniture.
Inspect furniture for perfection, verifying correct finishes, hardware placement, and custom requests against the customer's sales order.
Check for any scratches, dents, or paint imperfections.
Wrap, pad, and protect finished furniture using appropriate materials to ensure secure transit.
Collaborate with painters, builders, and the logistics/white-glove delivery crew for seamless handoffs.
Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked workspace for inspection and packaging.
