About The Position

This role drives consistent, compliant, and high-quality outcomes by supporting HSEQ assurance processes, strengthening compliance, and advancing continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer and business performance. In this position you’ll support the Quality Assurance (QA) Manager and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager in ensuring compliance with all HSEQ requirements within the Business Management System. You’ll lead the development, implementation, and continual improvement of Program HSEQ management systems, ensuring alignment with legislative, contractual, customer, and business requirements. In addition, you’ll provide oversight of Program HSEQ risk management by driving the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks, while offering expert guidance to project teams and stakeholders. Your efforts will see Babcock embed a strong HSEQ culture and deliver consistent, compliant, and high-quality outcomes. This is a permanent position located in Henderson WA.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Health, Safety, Environment, Risk, a Quality, Business Management related field or the equivalent qualification associated with an engineering, technical or maintenance environment.
  • Formal lead or internal auditor training (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 systems) or equivalent.
  • Incident investigation and root cause analysis qualifications (ICAM / Topset).
  • Must either hold, or be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an appropriate level as per role requirements.
  • Hold a valid Construction Induction Card (White Card).

Responsibilities

  • Support the Quality Assurance (QA) Manager and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager in ensuring compliance with all HSEQ requirements within the Business Management System.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continual improvement of Program HSEQ management systems, ensuring alignment with legislative, contractual, customer, and business requirements.
  • Provide oversight of Program HSEQ risk management by driving the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks.
  • Offer expert guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Embed a strong HSEQ culture and deliver consistent, compliant, and high-quality outcomes.
