Quality Assurance Analyst (Contract)
About The Position
We are looking for an experienced QA professional to support a high-impact modernization project on a short-term contract in Downtown Toronto. 💻 Who You Are: You have a keen eye for detail and take pride in ensuring software quality and reliability You thrive in an Agile environment, collaborating closely with developers and business stakeholders You are proactive in identifying and tracking defects, ensuring smooth software releases You have experience with both manual and automated testing, ensuring comprehensive coverage You’re familiar with tools like Microsoft Azure DevOps, TFS, and industry-standard testing methodologies
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in software testing, including manual and automation testing
- Strong understanding of Agile, SDLC, and Scrum methodologies
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps, Team Foundation Server (TFS)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- CTFL (Certified Tester Foundation Level) by ISTQB or equivalent certification (CSTE or CSQA)
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed test plans and test cases to validate software functionality
- Identify, document, and track bugs throughout the testing lifecycle
- Conduct regression testing to ensure smooth updates and bug fixes
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define testing strategies aligned with project goals
- Work closely with developers and product teams to optimize the testing process
- Support production issue investigation and help maintain high-quality software standards
