About The Position

The Quality Assistant ensures product quality by conducting sampling, testing, and inspection of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods. The role supports compliance, investigates quality issues, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to uphold manufacturing standards. The shift is 3 PM–11 PM, with a second-shift differential listed as $1.50. The position supports Energizer Holdings’ Quality Management System by following applicable procedures, work instructions, and forms, and ensuring inspections and processes comply with that system. The role may also carry out additional duties, special projects, and tasks assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Minimum of 1–2 years of relevant experience.
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel and word processing applications.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to read and interpret product specifications and testing procedures.
Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Ability to multitask and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor, sample, and test products from packaging lines to verify compliance with product specifications.
Perform physical and chemical property tests on formulation samples to confirm they meet defined specifications.
Alert management to quality issues, coordinate line shutdowns as necessary, and quarantine affected product for further evaluation.
Support root cause investigations and assist in developing and documenting preventive measures.
Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, R&D, and Packaging departments to resolve quality-related concerns.
Support the company’s Quality Management System by following related procedures, work instructions, and forms.
Ensure inspections and processes comply with the company’s Quality Management System.
Carry out additional duties, special projects, and tasks assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.
