About The Position

As a Quality Technician, you’ll be a key partner to our Operations Teams—providing real-time technical support to ensure products meet the highest standards in food safety, quality, and efficiency. You’ll play a critical role in monitoring production, investigating issues, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, solving complex problems, and making a visible impact on production and product quality.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of food production and laboratory experience (required)
  • Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, GLPs, and food safety systems
  • Experience with audits, SPC, and quality systems
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret and communicate technical and regulatory data clearly
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
  • Comfortable working with chemicals and near manufacturing equipment
  • Ability to lead discussions, facilitate meetings, and support training initiatives
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, microbiology, chemistry, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • PCQI certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide real-time technical support to Operations, Maintenance, and leadership teams during production
  • Lead and support noncompliance investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Perform audits and analyses on finished products, ingredients, packaging, and production systems
  • Conduct inspections across key programs including GMPs, HACCP, sanitation, pest prevention, and allergen controls
  • Investigate consumer and customer complaints to identify trends and solutions
  • Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot QA lab and production testing equipment
  • Record, analyze, and report audit findings and quality data
  • Manage product holds/releases and communicate non-compliance issues with vendors (SCARs)
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across quality and food safety programs
  • Ensure all work aligns with plant safety, food safety (SQF), quality, and environmental standards
