We're on the lookout for talented and motivated Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Intern, or similar related major, to join our team to support the overall safety function of our organization. If you're passionate about manufacturing and the process of improving safety for our members, we want to hear from you! As an Environmental, Health, and Safety Intern, you'll be an integral part of our manufacturing team, working closely with our experienced EHS Manager. You'll gain hands-on experience in understanding our current business safety processes and assisting in improving the overall safety for our members. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recent completion of a degree in Environmental, Health, and Safety or a related field.
  • Eagerness to learn and a strong passion for manufacturing with a continuous safety improvement mindset.
  • Hands on approach when solving manufacturing process concerns related to safety.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications like Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the EHS Manager to learn and support current safety processes, gaining hands‑on exposure to manufacturing safety programs and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct comprehensive Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) hazard assessments for each job position by evaluating tasks, processes, and associated risks; document findings and recommend appropriate PPE to ensure employee protection and OSHA compliance.
  • Develop and implement a written Fall Protection Program, including procedures, risk assessments, and compliant training materials; assist with employee training to promote safe work practices and reduce fall‑related hazards.
  • Develop and implement a written Boom Lift and Scissor Lift Safety Program, including hazard identification, safe operating procedures, inspection requirements, rescue considerations, and OSHA‑compliant training materials; support employee training to ensure safe and consistent use of aerial lift equipment.
  • Work with shift leaders to help identify and understand safety concerns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive safety enhancements.
  • Stay up to date with new/existing OSHA regulations to ensure compliance.
