About The Position

This internship role is primarily responsible for providing EHS support to a plant-based organization with regards to all aspects of EHS including safety policy interpretation, safety management, investigations, EHS reporting, safety rewards and recognition. This position will also dedicate time to specific EHS special projects. Position: EHS Internship Location: 11160 Parkway Drive North East, PA 16428 Schedule: 40 hours a week- flexible Pay: $23.50 an hour Duration: Summer Internship - Mid/End May to Mid/End- August

Requirements

• General knowledge of state and federal OSHA laws
• Effective and deliberate communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Ability to effectively multi-task with a strong sense of urgency
• Ability to work closely with EHS management and leadership teams
• Highly motivated, energetic, hands-on
• Current enrollment at a graduate institution with a record of strong academic performance (overall GPA of 3.0 or higher/junior status).

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching and advice to management on effective ways to administer EHS programs.
• Provide current and prospective employees with information about safety policies.
• Actively participates in safety meetings and/or investigations.
• Prepare safety records related to safety events, incidents, or audits.
• Assist in implementing programs and policies to ensure EHS compliance.
• Assists EHS Manager in the management of worker’s compensation process and other EHS initiatives.
