About The Position

Texas Oncology is seeking a Quality Analytics Nurse (RN) for a REMOTE position to support all Texas Oncology locations, departments, and specialties. This role will focus on various Value Based Care projects. It is a full-time position with Monday-Friday hours (8:00 am - 4:00 pm), with no weekend, call, or major holiday work required. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or related healthcare, business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in quality assurance, statistical analysis, or health care management.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel required.
  • Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred.
  • RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Must maintain continuing education requirements.
  • Entry level - 0-3 years nursing experience, oncology experience strongly preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years of nursing experience, oncology experience strongly preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology strongly preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Oncology certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs audits to ensure quality and compliance standards are consistently met.
  • Assists in meeting regulatory and statutory requirements by providing standardized and customized statistical data.
  • Responsible for trending, researching, analyzing and maintaining data bases for quality and compliance initiatives.
  • Provide project support to the clinical governance council and QI committees.
  • Assists and supports the implementation of practice wide clinical quality initiatives and/or PQE initiatives.
  • Supports Compliance and Human Resources by assisting in training and in-services.
  • Assist the sites in peer review and E & M audits and reporting and other audits as assigned.
  • Variance reporting trending.
  • Resolution of patient and customer service complaints, tracking.
  • HIPAA and Compliance training, auditing.
  • Assists in policy editing and revisions.
  • Researches and responds to routine and non-routine inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Obtains assistance to resolve complex inquiries, in order to discuss and learn.
