Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Active medical assistant certification (CMA, CCMA, NCMA, or RMA) or nursing assistant certification (CNA)
- 1+ years in a medical office
- Experience with EMR
- Experience with medical terminology
- Previous experience in the medical field
- 1 + years of computer proficiency to include understanding excel spreadsheets
Nice To Haves
- Experience with electronic medical records (ECW)
- 1+ year working of clinical experience
- 1+ year customer service experience
- Knowledge of insurance carriers and managed care plans
- Knowledge of medical terminology
Responsibilities
- Review, research and assist clinical staff with setting up documents and monitoring quality metrics
- Be efficient, productive, and thorough dealing with member's charts
- Meet established productivity, schedule adherence and quality standards while maintaining good attendance
- Work with the team to solve complex problems
- Prioritize, multi-task, and work in a team-oriented environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
