About The Position

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Mission Assurance Team is seeking a Principal Quality Analyst or Senior Principal Quality Analyst located in Oklahoma City, OK. This role involves proactively managing supplier quality risk to drive down supplier escapes, developing and implementing supplier quality evaluation and control systems, and assuring supplier process and product quality, including contractual, regulatory, and technical compliance. The analyst will interface directly with supplier personnel, assessing their quality and manufacturing processes, and conduct product and process verification activities. They will monitor supplier quality performance, drive root cause corrective action analysis for supplier quality issues, and support the maintenance of the approved supplier list. The role also includes managing supplier requests for waivers, deviations, and discrepancy reporting, keeping management informed of supplier performance and risks, and coordinating Supplier Quality plan implementation. Active engagement in supplier evaluation, qualification, and selection is required, along with managing the implementation of Supplier Quality processes such as supplier approval, source selection evaluations, supplier classification, risk assessments, and requirements development. Travel to suppliers is necessary to support the program. Collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and development functions to ensure quality standards are in place, and auditing quality systems for deficiency identification and correction are also key responsibilities. This role may be filled at either the Principal or Senior Principal level.

Requirements

  • Basic Qualifications for Principal Quality Analyst: Bachelors degree with 5 years of experience working in Supplier Quality or Manufacturing; or Masters degree with 3 years of experience working in Supplier Quality or Manufacturing; or PhD with 1 year of experience working in Supplier Quality or Manufacturing
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 requirements
  • Must have the ability to work on-site in Oklahoma City, OK
  • Must have an active US Government Secret Clearance and must have the ability to obtain and maintain special program access
  • Experience with SAP
  • Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Quality Analyst: Bachelors degree with 8 years of experience working in Supplier Quality or Manufacturing; or Masters degree with 6 years of experience working in Supplier Quality or Manufacturing; or PhD with 4 year of experience working in Supplier Quality or Manufacturing

  • Must have the ability to work on-site in Oklahoma City, OK
  • Must have an active US Government Secret Clearance and must have the ability to obtain and maintain special program access

Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage Supplier Quality risk to drive down supplier escapes.
  • Develops and implements supplier quality evaluation and control systems.
  • Assures supplier process and product quality, including contractual, regulatory, and technical compliance.
  • Interfaces directly with supplier personnel and must be knowledgeable in and capable of assessing both supplier quality and manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Conducts product and process verification activities, monitors supplier quality performance, and drives root cause corrective action analysis for supplier quality issues.
  • Supports the maintenance of the approved supplier list and periodically reviews supplier performance to determine whether suppliers should remain on the approved list.
  • Manages supplier requests for waivers, deviations and discrepancy reporting process.
  • Keeps management apprised of supplier performance, quality status, and risks.
  • Coordinates and oversees Supplier Quality plan implementation through all program phases.
  • Actively engages in supplier evaluation, qualification and selection as part of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP) and as new procurements are required on existing programs.
  • Manages implementation of Supplier Quality processes, including supplier approval activities, source selection evaluations, supplier classification designation (Critical, Key and Standard), development and execution of risk assessments and mitigation plans, and supplier quality requirements development and flow-downs.
  • Travel to Supplier as needed to support the program.
  • Collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, hardware and software development functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
  • Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
