Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems sector is currently seeking a Quality Analyst to support our growing business in our Rocket Center, West Virginia location. No remote work opportunities available for this position. Rocket Center, WV is located along the North Branch Potomac River in Mineral County, West Virginia and is home to the Allegany Ballistics Laboratory (ABL), a government installation operated by Northrop Grumman. Requirements

  • Must have 7 years of relevant experience. Will consider a bachelors degree with 3 years of experience or a masters degree with 1 year of experience.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving inputs and variables throughout the processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret written procedures.
  • Ability to apply basic problem-solving skills
  • Ability to follow standard work.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and areas of focus.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from area managers, vendors, and customers.
  • General knowledge of quality management system

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate quality data collection systems and processes to determine whether these data collection processes adequately depict the quality of products and processes involving suppliers, manufacturing test and life cycle management.
  • Support projects and processes that ensure continuously improving value to our customers and market segments.
  • Assist Mission Assurance Engineers with inspection definitions and supplier requirements.
  • Observe and identify improvement opportunities to Mission Assurance Engineering for discrepancy items and reporting.
  • Verify process control activities and reports deficiencies as appropriate.
  • Assist Mission Assurance Engineers with root cause analysis investigations and corrective action development.
  • Support Mission Assurance Engineers in conducting Corrective Action Review Board activities.
  • Investigate internal audit-related findings and helps coordinate activities to resolve issues.
  • Support the administration of the Quality Management System Documentation and Record Control processes.
  • Prepare and present data in management-level presentations.
  • Interfaces directly with supplier personnel and must be knowledgeable in and capable of assessing both supplier quality and manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Supports the maintenance of the approved supplier list and periodically reviews supplier performance to determine whether suppliers should remain on the approved list.
  • Manages supplier requests for waivers, deviations and discrepancy reporting process.
  • Collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, hardware and software development functions to ensure quality standards are in place
  • Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
