Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Quality Analyst to join our team in support of program mission assurance cost and planning efforts. This position will be in Melbourne, FL.

  • Demonstratable experience in preparing presentations for various levels of program leadership.
  • Technical problem solving, including root cause analysis, solution development, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Proven planning, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with teams and stakeholders to include skilled verbal and written communication.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience and training in Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principles and application, or similar knowledge, or as a Cost Account Manager (CAM).
  • Experience preparing briefings for Internal Team(s), Customer and Integrated Process Team (IPT) Leadership.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools (Project, Excel, Office and PowerPoint)
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs.
  • Applicant must have a minimum current active in-scope DoD Secret security clearance at time of application with the ability to receive Program Access Request (PAR) prior to start.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare mission assurance plans and schedules for new or existing programs.
  • Develop, monitor, and review cost, operational budget and schedule, and staffing requirements.
  • Support earned value management, proposals, basis of estimate, estimate at complete.
  • Review project needs and effects on various mission assurance areas such as quality engineering, quality inspection and quality support to determine the most practical and cost-efficient methods to resource.
  • Remedy proposal preparation constraints through assessment of established plans and parameters.
  • Formulate corrective measures such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, fund allocations, and work requirements.
  • Confirm proposal planning, development, review and implementation is completed on time utilizing discreet planning efforts whenever possible to maximize mission assurance resource planning.
  • Collaborate with Cost & Planning Team Lead, Mission Assurance Program Managers (MAPM), Functional Home Room Managers (FHRM), Mission Assurance Team Leads to ensure basis of estimates (BOEs) are accurate and factual to guarantee mission assurance requirements can be met at proposal execution.
  • Interface with program business and Integrated Process Team (IPT) counterparts to ensure execution to program earned value management (EVM) processes.
  • Review cost account manager (CAM) information with Cost & Planning Team Lead for compliance to EVM and integrated master schedule (IMS) plans.
  • Initiate and maintain various tracking tools to provide MAPMs, MAPDs and above the cost accounting and scheduling oversight necessary to execute on various programmatic demands that require senior leader attention.
  • Support outside program(s) when surge support is required to meet proposal and BOE requests with short timelines for delivery.
  • Execution of these tasks will require attention to detail and solid organizational skills to deliver on projects and tasks while working closely with the internal and external teams.
