About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst (Level III) to support application testing and quality assurance initiatives for our client in Richmond, VA. This position will focus on manual and automated testing, with an emphasis on Playwright and TypeScript. The ideal candidate will have strong experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks, executing test plans, identifying defects, and working with developers, business analysts, and IT teams to ensure application quality. This individual must be comfortable working independently, managing multiple assignments, and providing guidance to less experienced QA team members.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of directly related QA and software testing experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript is required.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and enhancing automated testing frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of manual and automated testing methodologies.
  • Experience with functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Experience identifying defects, performing root-cause analysis, and managing defect resolution.
  • Proficiency with HTML, XML, and Java.
  • Familiarity with React or Next.js.
  • Experience testing enterprise applications in large-scale IT environments.
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into testing strategies.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and provide guidance to other QA team members.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Selenium or other open-source automation tools.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration.
  • Experience with API testing.
  • Experience working across multiple hardware and software platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright and TypeScript.
  • Design, review, and enhance test automation frameworks.
  • Create and execute test plans and test cases based on business and technical requirements.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Identify, document, track, and troubleshoot software defects.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Analyze business requirements and develop appropriate testing strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to expand automation coverage and improve testing processes.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders across multiple projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to less experienced QA team members.
  • Communicate testing results, defects, and potential risks to project teams.
