About The Position

Holman is seeking a Quality Analyst II to join their team. This role involves participating in requirements gathering, test strategy, and planning. The analyst will create, review, and execute test cases, define test data, and ensure products meet specifications and customer expectations. Key responsibilities include communicating and tracking defects, providing quality feedback to stakeholders, managing assigned tasks, reporting on test status, and developing automated tests. The role also involves suggesting quality improvements, mentoring QA testers, and serving as a subject matter expert for assigned products or projects. Training other testers on product features and department processes is also expected.

Requirements

  • Four years’ experience in IT QA.
  • Solid proficiency of testing tools: Azure DevOps (2+ yrs experience)
  • SQL expertise (2+ yrs)
  • Solid proficiency with automation tools and architecture (Tosca) (2+ yrs)
  • Data integrity testing using SQL (1+ yrs)
  • Solid proficiency with Web services testing (2+ yrs)
  • Managed test case coverage for a product or project
  • Testing proficiency in multiple SDLC’s (Agile, Waterfall)
  • Experience directing, mentoring others in QA team (1+ yrs)
  • Understanding of major testing types including system/integration, regression and Default/error testing (2+ yrs)
  • Analyze testing capacity, risk assessment, test data design
  • Led a change in QA processes and practices
  • Willingness to learn, to work independently or in a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Able to maintain a good working relationship with everyone.
  • Able to deal with conflict head-on, responsibly, timely and honestly.
  • Proficient in verbal and written English.
  • Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Participate in requirements gathering and test strategy and planning.

  • Provide timely, clear and concise feedback regarding the quality results to the stake holders.
  • Follow-up on assigned tasks for self and project team members, keep correspondence informative and timely.
  • Test status reporting.
  • Develop, as able, automated tests, execute and review automation results.
  • Suggest quality improvements in the development cycle.
  • Mentor QA testers.
  • Be the subject matter expert for the product or project assigned.
  • Train other tester/analysts in product features, functions and department processes.
