About The Position

Lucas Tree Experts, a leader in the tree care industry, is looking for motivated individuals to join our team as a Qualified Utility Arborist. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, experienced and willing to grow with us and build a career. The ideal candidate will currently hold either a Utility Tree Trimmer of Alberta or Certified Utility Arborist of British Columbia certification. In addition a Class 3 License with Air Brake is required. All UTT/CUA positions will require verification of experience through a mixture of certifications, documentation, log books, and observation/verifications with qualified personnel. Requirements

  • Must be able to work 45 hours weekly.
  • Must be 18 years of age with a High School Diploma/GED/or equivalent.
  • Must have a current Class 3 license with air brake.
  • Must be physically able to perform the requirements of the position (i.e., walk on uneven grounds, carry 75 lbs.)
  • Must be willing to work at varying heights up to 75 feet.
  • Must be willing and able to learn how to run a bucket truck & operate equipment safely.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain First Aid and WHIMIS Certifications
  • Must be able to obtain, and maintain licenses & certifications as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Currently hold either a Utility Tree Trimmer of Alberta or Certified Utility Arborist of British Columbia certification.

Responsibilities

  • Manual removal of vegetation from work areas
  • Safely operating various forestry equipment (Arial lift, elevator lift, woodchipper w/ winch, giraffe, hydraulic equipment, chainsaws)
  • Performing line clearance, pruning, and removals
