The Qualified Professional (QP) oversees assigned homes and enables the team, residents, and families to function at their highest level of competency. This position ensures that the agency’s policies, procedures, and programs are delivered appropriately and that the home remains in compliance with state regulations. The QP provides intake services for prospective residents and their families, participates in admission and discharge planning, completes assessments and documentation for new admissions, and develops Person Centered Plans (PCP) for each resident in conjunction with their treatment team. They evaluate goal progress, complete monthly progress notes, manage Personal Care Services (PCS) applications and assessments, and schedule/participate in team meetings. The QP also reviews and completes incident reports, reviews resident records for accurate documentation, ensures compliance with group home regulations, and participates in surveys and reviews. Additionally, they complete Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) reports, develop and maintain a client rights committee, provide monthly supervision to direct support staff, and deliver initial and annual clinical trainings. Clinical oversight is provided for various living services, and the QP ensures the acquisition, improvement, and retention of skills related to daily living and social/adaptive skills. They also review documentation related to clinical services, attend quarterly meetings, and conduct client rights, resident council, and parent/guardian meetings. Administrative responsibilities include overseeing payroll, personnel, financial, and quality improvement duties, reconciling residents' personal funds, participating in hiring, supervising and scheduling staff, completing evaluations, developing safety and emergency response plans, completing reports, developing marketing plans, maintaining business contacts, and managing the home's budget and expenditures to ensure full capacity. In the absence of secured coverage, the QP will serve as PRN Direct Service Professional (DSP), providing direct support and supervision to residents, acting as a Christian role model, preparing meals, establishing structure, maintaining a safe home environment, planning events, complying with safety regulations, providing transportation, purchasing supplies, greeting visitors, attending to medical/dental needs, maintaining agency vehicles, teaching life skills, and representing the institution professionally.
