About The Position

Under general supervision, assess client needs and function level. Provides individualized case management to clients. Make appropriate referrals. Provides some individual and group counseling and education and support to clients and families, skills training and outreach to client homes. Acts as liaison and provides consultation, education and information to community agencies that routinely come in contact with individuals with mental or emotional disturbances. Make diagnoses. Acts as program coordinator by assisting with program planning activities. Screens clients for program eligibility and conduct comprehensive evaluations resulting in a DSM IV diagnosis. Develops diagnostic evaluations and treatment plans for clients which includes delivery of appropriate services as defined in the detailed treatment plan.

Requirements

  • M.A. degree plus two years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Provide individual, group and family counseling or equivalent experience.
  • Must hold appropriate CADC licensure or receive the credential/license within 36-months of application.
  • Knowledge of regulations and laws governing mental health, behavioral, and addiction services, ethics, confidentiality, privacy, and other related areas.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
