About The Position
Culver Academies is a private boarding school seeking a temporary Qualified Medication Assistant for the Summer Health Center. This role is responsible for assisting Licensed Practical Nurses or Registered Nurses with the administration of prescribed oral medications to campers. The position is located on the shore of Lake Maxinkuckee in Culver, Indiana, within a historic 1,800-acre campus.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Licensed as a QMA in the State of Indiana
- Current CPR certification
Responsibilities
- Intake of prescription medication/enter dispensing instructions and count correctly in EMR.
- Dispense medications to campers at designated times per prescriber’s order using the 5 rights of medication administration.
- Chart medication administration accurately in EMR.
- Assist co-workers with dispensing center duties as assigned.
- Follows state guidelines on Universal Waste and Safety Precautions (OSHA).
- Communicate with parent/guardians regarding refills.
