About The Position
Centurion is seeking a full-time Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) to join their team at Westville Correctional Facility in Westville, Indiana. The QMA works under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or other medical staff. They are responsible for assisting nurses by following instructions to administer medications and document drug dosages and times. The QMA also takes vital signs, assists in examinations and treatments, and helps patients with daily living activities. A key part of the role is monitoring patients and reporting any changes in their conditions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Graduation from a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) training program required.
- QMA certification required.
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
Nice To Haves
- One (1) year of experience in acute care, long-term care, emergency, or correctional setting preferred.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check.
Responsibilities
