About The Position

Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) HAS, LLC (formerly HAS Incorporated), a Residential Habilitation / Res-Hab & Supported Living services company, is looking to hire a QIDP in the Idaho Falls area! The Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) will be responsible for overseeing the care and support provided to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of intellectual and developmental disabilities, and be dedicated to improving the quality of life for those under their care. They will work closely with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized plans of care, oversee the implementation of those plans, and ensure that all documentation is accurate and up to date.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as social work, psychology, or human services is required
  • Minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
  • Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening
  • Will have CPR/First-Aid
  • Will have Assistance with Medications certificate
  • Maintain high standards of ethical conduct

Nice To Haves

  • Training and supervisory experience is a plus!
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse interdisciplinary team

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized plans of care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Provide supervision and training to direct care staff
  • Ensure that all required documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted in a timely manner
  • Participate in the admission and discharge process for individuals with intellectual disabilities, including completing assessments and developing transition plans
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals with disabilities, their families, as well as with other members of their care team and stakeholders
  • Perform his/her work in accordance with the currently approved method of practice set forth by the State of Idaho, Department of Health and Welfare rules and regulations regarding Program Coordinators (QIDPs), for Residential Habilitation Agencies
  • Serve as an effective resource for company policy, utilizing good judgment, discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism to respond to family, guardians, and service coordinators
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned and specified by the Program Administrator/Director
