We are seeking to hire a Qualified Exterior Wall Inspector (QEWI) to conduct condition inspection for buildings in NYC for FISP (Façade Inspection & Safety Program) inspections in all five boroughs of NYC.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or related field required.
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E) or Registered Architect (RA) in NY State
At least 7 years of relevant experience of visual and close-up Façade inspections and specialized probes of cavity wall construction of high-rise buildings using suspended scaffolding
Knowledge of Façade repair or restoration
Extensive knowledge of NYC façade rules, FISP / Local Law 11 requirements, DOB filing procedures for FISP report and construction drawing, and NYC Construction Codes
Good knowledge to prepare drawings using CAD
Prepared the TR6 reports and filed it on DOB website

Responsibilities

Managing and coordinating the day-to-day activities of survey field crew
Conduct visual inspections using binocular and close-up inspections using suspended scaffolding
Take notes and photographs
Prepare the report as per the guidelines outlined by NYCDOB and our clients
Prepare the TR6 and other reports and file with DOB
Perform field investigations
Prepare technical reports
Support compliance with Façade inspection programs
