About The Position

Inspection of all types of precision machined parts and purchased parts, assemblies, tooling and fixtures. Works from and interpreting blueprints, technical specifications and industry standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficient in the use of basic inspection equipment as well as Rockwell hardness testers, positive material identification analyzers (PMI), and optical comparator inspection equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Must be able to recognize and be discreet with sensitive business-related materials.
• Must be able to work with people to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Must be able to read, understand, learn and follow written and verbal safety, quality and work instructions.
• Must possess technical aptitude, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Nice To Haves

• Technical school certification in Mechanical Quality Control Techniques, or ASQ Certified Quality Inspector, or ASQ Certified Auditor

Responsibilities

• Reads and understands documentation such as blueprints, mechanical assemblies, part list, procedures manuals, weldments, and test procedures.
• Performs receiving, in-process and final inspection, customer sorting and related quality assurance tasks to maintain quality standards with supervision.
• Records inspection results and initiates nonconformance reports for defective parts and materials.
• Other technical duties as required or as assigned by higher roles.
