About The Position

Seeking a qualified applicant to work as a QRTP Shift Lead to help direct staff and clients in a residential setting. Our clients come from a variety of backgrounds and require a trauma-informed approach to service delivery. You will gain extensive knowledge and understanding of mental and behavioral health issues. The employer will provide monthly ongoing psychosocial training to increase your abilities and capacity to work with at-risk youth. Please read the requirements for this position before applying. This position requires passing a full FBI/Adam Walsh/ and CANS background check through the Department of Family Services. Background check costs are not reimbursed. Individuals with previous arrests within the last 7 years (excluding DUIs, CPS, or Domestic Violence) do not qualify. The employer randomly drug tests (including marijuana) with no exceptions. Note: This position requires obtaining a full DFS County background and Reference check, a Nevada Residence fee of $45, and additional fees for out-of-state residents relocating to Nevada. TB, CPR, and internal testing are also required before beginning your contract. The employer does not cover the costs for any testing or clearances, so some up-front costs exist. However, up to 40 hours per week can be provided if all expectations are met and quality services are engaged in with clients.

Requirements

  • Must be willing to work Evenings (2pm - 10:30pm), Weekends (6am - 2:30pm and 2pm - 10:30pm) and Overnights as needed
  • Computer and Software Knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Multitasking and the ability to work with diverse people
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle crises
  • Required to assist with on-call crisis intervention
  • Must have your own, reliable vehicle - Auto Insurance must be in your name or as a designated driver to the policy
  • Must have a valid Nevada Drivers License and be a minimum of 25 years or older
  • All training requirement for this position are held at our Main Office Location
  • Fingerprinting for Background check costs begin at $45 for Nevada residents. Out-of-state residents will have additional costs depending on the state.
  • Associate degrees and/or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of experience working with children in one of the following fields: Psychology, Social Work, Anthropology, Sociology, Human Development and Family Studies, Nursing, Community Health Sciences or Health Ecology, Early Childhood Education, Education, Criminal Justice, Public Health.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 2 years of experience working with children
  • At least 1 year of management/supervisory experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in a Residential Setting
  • Social Services Experience
  • ABA/RBT Background
  • Familiar with Clinical terminology and HIPAA-related policies

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and monitor day to day direction of staff and clients in a residential setting
  • Create daily agendas to provide guidance and direction to staff
  • Responsible to oversee the completion of daily tasks by staff
  • Responsible for afterhours communication directly and indirectly with staff
  • Responsible for the safety and supervision of staff and clients in respective suites
  • Respond to crisis
  • Provide and maintain a safe home and work environment for staff and clients
  • Responsible for attending all scheduled meetings and ability to both share information during the meeting as well as communicating to department pertinent information from the meeting
  • Have a general sense of Trauma-Informed Practices - We are willing to teach as well!
  • Must be Flexible
