About The Position

As a Juvenile Justice Care Coordinator (JJCC) for the Juvenile Justice Mentor program, you support youth involved in or at risk for guns, gangs, and other violent activities by coordinating care and building strong relationships. You will collaborate with Tarrant County Juvenile Services, schools, faith communities, and local organizations to interrupt cycles of violence and promote positive change. Your responsibilities include processing referrals, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and facilitating team meetings. You connect youth and families to community resources and provide skills training that support academic, social, and emotional growth. As a liaison between MHMR, TCJS, and community partners, you help youth disengage harmful behaviors and ensure they do not return to the Juvenile Justice system. On-the-job certification as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) is provided.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in a Health and Humans Services field (Applied Behavior Analysis, Child Development, Counseling, Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Intervention, Education, Psychology, Gerontology, Human Growth and Development, Medicine, Nursing, Physician Assistant, Psychology, Registered Nurse, Rehabilitation & Rehab Studies, Social Work, Sociology, or Special Education)
Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) OR eligible for QMHP certification
Bachelor’s degree with 30 hours of courses equivalent to requirements for QMHP credentialing (as a substitution)
