QMHP/Clinical Support Specialist
About The Position
We are seeking a self-disciplined, well-coordinated, and persuasive professional. The position of QMHP/Clinical Support Specialist is part of a team, supervised by the Behavioral Health Supervisor in CK Behavioral Health, our behavioral health program. The position engages directly with children, youth, and their parents using nationally recognized, evidence-based and research supported practices to increase well-being and promote positive outcomes. Our program leadership provides training and ongoing coaching to certify Clinical Support Specialists as Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHP). The ideal candidate must be self-disciplined, thorough, and value getting it right. In addition to direct contact with our clients the position is responsible for documentation and adherence to predetermined protocols, policies, and procedures with a high degree of accuracy. All services are provided in person based on the location in the posted ad.
Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field as specified in the Texas Administrative Code for QMHP qualifications.
- Basic therapeutic skills.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational skills.
- Experience and training in working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.
- Experience and training in working with children with severe emotional disturbances.
- Experience and training in delivery of services based on curriculum.
