About The Position

Benton County's Behavioral Health team is hiring a QMHP to work as part of our Children and Family Mental Health program! This QMHP works with children and their families who are in need of mental health treatment. Services to be provided include conducting assessments, individual therapy, family therapy, and group facilitation, utilizing evidence-based clinical practice and skills, and in compliance with program standards. This QMHP will have an excellent balance of working collaboratively as part of a team while also having a significant level of autonomy and flexibility in their day-to-day duties. The main function of this role will serve the Philomath School District as a School-Based therapist and will maintain a caseload of K-12 students who are experiencing a variety of mental health challenges. In additional to the school-based mental health services, this position will also provide clinic- and community-based services as needed. The Children and Family Mental Health team is comprised of QMHPs, QMHAs, Care Coordinators, and Peers who are energetic, creative, and committed to serving the youth and families of Benton County. Self-motivated, dependable, and organized individuals are encouraged to apply. Supervision to obtain LPC licensure is provided, and a $1000 training budget is currently allotted annually for continuing education.

Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or closely related field
  • One year of health experience providing mental health outpatient services (for Health Care Professional 2 level)
  • Two years of health experience providing mental health outpatient services (for Health Care Professional 3 level)
  • Must be registered as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) with Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) or be able to obtain certification within 6 months of hire
  • Valid Oregon driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • PsyD, LCSW, LPC, LMFT or equivalent licensure preferred for Health Care Professional Level 2
