About The Position

We are now looking for a QEHSS Coordinator – North Region to join our team working for a better future. The position is permanent, and the preferred location is Fort Lauderdale, FL. Alternative locations within the North Region may also be considered. As the QEHSS Coordinator for the North Region, you will support the execution, coordination, and continuous improvement of Quality, Environment, Health, Safety, and Security (QEHSS) activities across a geographically diverse and rapidly growing region. The role is hands‑on and field‑focused, working closely with service teams, engineers, supervisors, and regional stakeholders to promote safe behaviors, regulatory compliance, and a strong EHS culture. This position plays a key role in enabling the region’s significant growth through the Giga NEXT initiative, ensuring that QEHSS processes, training, and reporting practices scale effectively with increased operational activity. The role provides functional leadership and coordination of EHS Site Support resources, with site-based EHS support reporting into this position, ensuring alignment with regional QEHSS priorities, standards, and practices. While the role does not carry full people-management authority, it is accountable for coordination, guidance, prioritization, and performance follow-up of site EHS support activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Safety Management, Emergency Management, Environmental Engineering, Maritime Transportation, or similar.
  • Solid experience in health, safety, and environmental roles, ideally within oil & gas, maritime, energy, or industrial service environments.
  • Experience in a coordinator, lead, or supervisory-type role, including mentoring others or supporting regional/site-based activities.
  • Good understanding of U.S. and Canadian EHS regulatory requirements and how to apply them in operational environments.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and influence others across a regional or matrix organization.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including experience working with geographically dispersed teams.
  • Ability to analyze incident trends and support QEHSS reporting and improvement actions.
  • Strong English skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel on short notice within North America and the Caribbean.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 management systems.
  • Auditor experience related to ISO management systems.
  • Knowledge or familiarity with NFPA 70E, including applicability and implementation experience.
  • Experience using Power BI and Excel.
  • Spanish language skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review daily WeCare case submittals, including Near Misses, Incidents and Injuries, Hazard Observations, and Safety Walks, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timely follow‑up.
  • Engage with employees and supervisors to acknowledge and discuss submitted reports, reinforcing quality reporting and meaningful QEHSS discussions.
  • Plan and coordinate Safety Walks, supporting supervisors and teams to ensure consistent execution and strong employee participation.
  • Coordinate and support regional training programs, including scheduling, delivery support, tracking, and continuous improvement of content—particularly as the region expands through Giga NEXT growth.
  • Participate in regional and cross‑functional working groups, contributing subject‑matter expertise and supporting implementation of agreed improvement actions.
  • Provide functional leadership and coordination of QEHSS activities across the North Region, including oversight and support of EHS Site Support resources reporting into this role.
  • Support compliance with local, state, and federal OSHA regulations and applicable company requirements.
  • Support adherence to Canadian federal and provincial EHS regulations, escalating gaps or risks as appropriate.
  • Mentor and coach employees, supervisors, and site EHS support personnel on QEHSS expectations, tools, and best practices.
  • Support internal audit activities, including preparation, corrective action tracking, and follow‑up with regional business units.
  • Support QEHSS improvement initiatives, including researching PPE options and assisting with development of targeted training based on near misses, incidents, and trend data.
  • Provide QEHSS support to field teams as needed, including after-hours and weekend availability for 24/7 service operations, in line with regional escalation processes.
  • Lead or support incident investigations, documenting findings and tracking corrective and preventive actions to closure.
  • Compile, maintain, and support reporting of LTIR and TRIR metrics in accordance with OSHA and company requirements.
  • Analyze incident and observation data to identify trends and support development of focused mitigation and prevention actions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by coordinating actions, tracking progress, and contributing to improvements in efficiency and QEHSS maturity.
  • Assist with organizational change and regional expansion, helping ensure QEHSS processes and site support models scale effectively with Giga NEXT growth.
  • Actively pursue continuous learning and professional development to strengthen QEHSS knowledge and regional support capability.
