Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering, Science, or related field
  • 15 to 20 years’ experience in a Quality Assurance/Control related role with experience creating and implementing Quality Programs for Design Build and Construction Programs
  • Successful completion of OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training required (may obtain within first year of employment)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to clearly communicate with clients and employees
  • Ability to build and lead high performing teams at the project and department levels
  • Basic understanding of word, Excel, CMIC, Bluebeam and BIM 360 Field
  • Experience with Design process and Test/Inspection methods
  • Familiar with current standard design and construction software

Responsibilities

  • Develops, directs, mentors, trains, and leads members of the Quality Department and other functional departments
  • Develops, establishes, directs and executes the overall corporate quality and continuous improvement program
  • Develops, formulates and establishes the quality management and quality control system; assigns, instructs and guides quality managers/Engineers in the development of standard project quality programs
  • Designs, develops and establishes the internal Quality audits as a standard process
  • Provides overall oversight and direction to project’s quality programs, ensuring client's requirements, strategies and expectations in regards to quality are understood and implemented
  • Promotes the development of a project execution workforce through training, career development and succession planning for the quality group
  • Participates in staffing decisions for quality program positions at all levels; organizes work force assignments to coincide with project schedules; interfaces with the project management team to identify execution and quality issues, coordinating quality requirements with all disciplines; provides technical guidance for inspection, testing and quality service activities
  • Participates in the selection, training, scheduling, and evaluation of a team of in- process or incoming quality control managers I & II, and Quality Engineers I & II
  • Coordinates training activities to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, while also ensuring cross-training and flexibility across the Quality team
  • Provides ongoing feedback and mentoring to the Quality team, including the delivery of annual performance evaluations
  • Determines training and professional growth plans for Quality Managers and Engineer
  • Supports investigations associated with non-conformances
  • Works with QA/QC Managers, Owners and Design Engineers to determine appropriate support activities for non-conforming items and issues
  • Provides quality functional oversight for client-specific needs and requests; works with clients to anticipate and interpret client needs as well as business challenges
