About The Position

Visually inspect parts based on OQI, PPH and containment instructions. This includes match to good part samples, label correctness. The quality containment inspector will be responsible to seal all boxes as required that he / she inspects. Scanning and moving product from locations. The quality inspector will be the initial person responsible for the quality of parts being inspected. Communication of standards and deviations of those standards within the department as well as customer driven standards. Make determination of parts deemed acceptable to ship. Inspects, Records findings, using tablet to alert team of defects, rejecting unactable product. May require using equipment for measuring. The use of a pallet jack to move product. Standing, Bending, and lifting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Experience with IQMS software.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for developing and maintaining positive associate relations.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other employees.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to conduct detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Frequently stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • Occasionally sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Approves contents of boxes to quality standards (all vision).
  • Comparison of all parts to standards (all vision).
