About The Position

The Quality Control (QC) Technician is responsible for supporting production by performing routine food safety and quality checks to ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, and company specifications. This role focuses on in process monitoring, CCP and CQP verification, and production floor presence to ensure product safety and quality while maintaining efficient production flow. The QC Technician also serves as a backup to the QA Technician for basic testing and inspections as trained. This is a 1st Shift role, M-F 5 AM to 1 pm.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of GMPs and food safety principles.
  • Ability to follow SOPs and work in production environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in food manufacturing or quality.
  • Familiarity with HACCP or CCP monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all established Kerry LIFE Safety, Food Safety, GMP, HACCP, and processing policies with an eye towards quality.
  • Monitors and verifies critical food safety, quality and process control points during production.
  • Performs CCP verification activities including metal detection checks.
  • Perform control point verification checks, including but not limited to Screen inspections and Magnet checks.
  • Perform CQP verification activities, including but not limited to Weight checks, Seal checks, and Blending checks.
  • Support the SQF Food Safety and Quality System and comply with FSMA regulations by Following established procedures, Participating in required training, Performing inspections and verifications, and Supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform quality control equipment calibrations such as production scale verifications.
  • Ensure all checks/records are completed accurately, in accordance with site procedures and in real time.
  • Perform routine GMP and sanitation audits in production areas.
  • Verify production paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
  • Immediately escalate food safety or quality deviations to QA or supervision.
  • Support efficient production flow by providing real-time quality feedback.
  • Assist QA Technicians with basic product testing and inspections as trained.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with production and support teams.
  • Any other duties as assigned by Quality Leadership.
