About The Position

The QC Technician is responsible for assisting in supporting Quality Control Laboratory personnel as it pertains to the sampling of raw materials, purified water system, in-process materials and finished products.

Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or 2-year associate’s degree
• 0–3 years of experience in a GMP-regulated environment (manufacturing, laboratory, or quality systems preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products, (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Possess basic math skills
• Ability to comprehend relevant SOP information pertaining to test methods, specifications, protocols, CoA’s, and other documentation related to sampling, tracking and analytical testing of raw materials, in-process materials and finished product.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a regulated pharmaceutical, OTC drug, cosmetic, or medical device manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of compendial methods (USP, EP, JP) and pharmacopeial requirements.
• Exposure to method validation/verification, analytical troubleshooting, and instrument qualification.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safe and clean work environment by following policies and procedures
• Assists in tracking internal and contract testing of raw material and finished product samples
• Perform raw material and purified water sampling
• Coordinates sample shipments to outside resources
• Assist EHS involving safety issues/corrections in the lab
• Maintain laboratory supply inventory
• Clean laboratory glassware
• Perform additional duties, projects, or training assignments as needed
