The QC Technician Inspector is responsible for monitoring quality control on a food production line. This role involves performing various tests and verifications of equipment, product, packaging, and coding parameters according to Standard Operating Procedures and product specifications. The inspector must communicate any arising problems to appropriate staff and management, record problem/solution details, and check paperwork for accuracy. Key duties include verifying ingredients, checking seals, date codes, and temperatures hourly, and ensuring the metal detector functions correctly. Adherence to all employee safety, food safety, quality procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) is mandatory. The role also requires calibrating and cleaning instrumentation, flexibility to work any shift and weekends, and wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The inspector is expected to demonstrate leadership and ownership, ensure packaged products meet quality specifications, and work both independently and collaboratively with team members. Completing production paperwork neatly and professionally, strictly adhering to safety policies, and committing to food safety and quality requirements are also essential.
