About The Position

Inspects products at various stages of the production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products. This role involves recording test data, applying statistical quality control procedures, and inputting test data into the main database. The technician will evaluate data to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards, recommend modifications to quality or production standards, and has the authority to hold products due to non-conforming properties. The position requires compliance with all ISO procedures, maintaining high ethical standards, promoting a safe work environment, and proactively anticipating quality issues. Responsibilities also include analyzing claims and warranty issues, issuing reports to the Quality Manager, and interfacing with suppliers on quality aspects related to raw materials. Additional duties include maintaining a clean work area, applying 5S techniques, and performing other assigned duties. Within the Integrated Management System (IMS), the role involves improving work processes, providing input on documented procedures, understanding the IMS policy, keeping records of business outcomes, participating in internal and external audits, and supporting CSR activities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Six months or more of related experience/training.
  • Experience with Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ISO.
  • Experience with quality improvement techniques, technical audit and corrective/preventative action is desired.
  • Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing experience desired.
  • Experience in a web handling environment (roll-to-roll) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Keeps area clean at all times.
  • Applies 5S techniques to workplace.
  • Addresses any other related duties as assigned.
  • Improves work processes.
  • Provides input and verifies that documented procedures are adequate and accurate and in support of achievement of the strategy.
  • Understands the IMS policy and how it applies.
  • Keeps records and data on pertinent business outcomes.
  • Participates in internal audits.
  • Participates in ongoing process improvement.
  • Participates in external registration and surveillance audits.
  • Directly supports methods and practices of the IMS Process through personal compliance and visible support actions.
  • Supports CSR activities.
