About The Position

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the QC Supervisor plays a vital role in maintaining the QC Lab and QC Systems at Agrisan. The QC Supervisor is responsible for supervising QC testing and laboratory activities while also maintaining quality systems within the QC Lab in accordance with applicable regulations and company procedures. The QC Supervisor will contribute to an efficient and effective quality team and use knowledge and expertise towards a culture of continuous improvement. With that, the QC Supervisor at Agrisan will serve as a change agent for CG Wellington’s initiatives and projects providing support, direction and leadership within the Company and with their peers across the organization.

Requirements

A diploma, certificate or other evidence of formal qualifications awarded after completion of a course of study at a university, college or technical institute in a science related to the work being carried out and have a minimum of 3 years of related work experience in industrial, pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Knowledge of GMPs (GUI-0001), Quality systems, and TDG.
Commitment to excellence and strong sense of accountability.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

Report quality concerns to the Quality Manager
Supervise QC lab staff
Supervise start up check daily (calibration, temperature monitoring).
Supervise product quality testing
Maintain inspection readiness
Participate in regulatory inspection activities and responses
Promote and maintain a strong safety culture within the lab and facility, upholding safety protocols and environmental protection guidelines.
Engage and deliver performance management to members of team, as applicable
Monitor and verify QC specification of products manufacturing to release for packaging.
Verify product quality in package.
Perform and coordinate laboratory activities (sample collection, testing and lab organization)
Perform stability testing and maintain stability samples.
Collect and maintain retention samples and conduct shelf-life testing.
Receive samples of all raw materials, in-process and finished goods.
Monitor storage conditions of Laboratory samples.
Monitor compliance with GMP practices in the facility.
Lead or assist with product quality investigations.
Maintain accurate and organized records of all QC and related production paperwork.
Participate in any other quality related activity required to support business.
Perform in-process testing and provide directions for adjustments as needed (e.g. pH available Iodine etc.).
Monitor / audit in-process batch records and other documentation.
Perform laboratory documentation reviews.
Interact with other employees to resolve filling, packing and manufacturing issues.
Provide technical expertise in problem solving.
Participate in the evaluation and writing of standard operating procedures.
Provide QC support for all manufacturing initiatives.
Check product quality on incoming raw materials, packaging materials, and outgoing finished products as per approved specifications.
Fill out specifications from third party laboratory CofAs correctly and accurately, advising if result is outside of the set tolerances.
Prepare samples for testing at external labs.
Assist in evaluation of the sampling priorities for upcoming production runs.
Maintain cleanliness and organization with the laboratory.
Ensures compliance with GMP, sanitization, safety, pest control, hygiene and in-house SOPs.
Maintain and test accuracy of instruments in lab and plant.
Train other QC Technicians as assigned by manager.
Other duties as assigned by manager.
