About The Position

The QC Specialist supports Medisca’s Quality Control department through a range of quality and operational functions. The role is onsite in Irving, Texas, and includes processing, inspecting, and releasing chemical and device bulk receipts; maintaining quarantine areas; coordinating equipment calibration and maintenance; monitoring environmental conditions; handling quality events and document control; and supporting QC Inspectors as needed.

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field, or relevant pharmaceutical experience.
• At least one year of experience in a Quality Control environment.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, both oral and written.
• Proven decision-making and problem-solving skills, including the ability to apply judgment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.

• Knowledge of Syspro and MasterControl.

Responsibilities

• Process, inspect, and release chemical bulk receipts.
• Process, inspect, and release device bulk receipts.
• Maintain quarantine areas.
• Maintain calibration and maintenance schedules and the equipment list.
• Schedule calibration and maintenance services.
• Monitor environmental conditions throughout the location.
• Perform investigations involving deviations, NCMRs, CAPAs, and SCARs.
• Initiate Change Controls.
• Conduct quality reviews of documents.
• File and organize documentation as assigned.
• Support QC Inspector functions and assist when requested.
