About The Position

The QC Receiving Inspector I is responsible for performing receiving inspection of products from outside vendors to verify conformance with internal quality standards and customer requirements. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

  • Able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are necessary for manipulating tools and performing precise measurements with a Microscope.
  • Specific vision ability to have natural or corrected near distance acuity in at least one eye. Capable of passing the Jaeger Number 2 test and a color vision test.
  • Must be classified as US Persons and are required to show proof upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Work cooperatively with all employees.

  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Observe safety regulations and follow protective equipment requirements. Report hazardous observations to your lead or supervisor.
  • Comprehend and follow all parts handling requirements.
  • Demonstrate a basic ability to read and comprehend drawings and applicable inspection documentation.
  • Receive in vendor supplied products and materials.
  • Initiate Nonconformance Reports as required.
  • Create product identification and traceability activities as required (Material and Process certification).
  • Review vendor paperwork for completeness and accuracy.
  • Follow daily clean up and housekeeping procedures. Comply with all quality, safety, and work related rules and regulations.
  • Perform the following inspection tests: Dielectric Withstanding Voltage (AC / DC), Insulation Resistance, Visual Inspection, Mechanical Inspection.
  • Promote teamwork and cooperative effort.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and unobstructed work area.
  • Understand and apply appropriate quality improvement processes.
