How will you make an impact? Under the supervision of the QC Supervisor the Quality Specialist I is responsible for assisting the Quality Control Laboratories in managing the release of finished goods, prioritization of extra testing, procuring and managing inventory levels for test reagents, and coordination of calibrations and PMs for lab instruments. Required to work on a variety of tasks at the same time and must prioritize work as necessary.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/ GED
  • 3 years of experience working in laboratory required
  • Experience with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Higher education preferred.
  • Related cGMP industry experience preferred
  • LIMs, E1, Access, PowerBI, Smartsheet, and Trackwise preferred
  • Experience working with suppliers, purchasing materials, and managing inventory levels preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Quality Control laboratories in releasing finished products while adhering to cGLP's, cGMP's, SOP's and all safety regulations as they apply to the laboratory.
  • Purchase materials, manage delivery, and organize testing supplies for QC labs
  • Represent the finished product lab on cross-departmental teams as needed
  • Follow up with suppliers to obtain lab reagents and materials
  • Assist with troubleshooting lab equipment and instruments as needed
  • Demonstrate judgement, tact and diplomacy; in dealing with internal and external customers while prioritizing extra testing performed for other Thermo sites.
