About The Position
This position is responsible for performing routine microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process bulk, and finished products with accuracy and compliance with established test methods, SOPs, safety guidelines, and adherence to ISO 17025:2017 requirements.
Requirements
- Accuracy and compliance with established test methods, SOPs, safety guidelines
- Adherence to ISO 17025:2017 requirements
- Proficiency in testing for pathogens (E. coli, Listeria, Salmonella, Staphylococcus)
- Proficiency in determining counts for Yeast & Mold (TYMC) and Total Aerobic Microbial Count (TAMC)
- Proficiency in testing for Aflatoxins and probiotic viability
- Ability to document routine maintenance on instruments (GENE Up, TEMPO instruments, BAX, etc.)
- Ability to execute general Lab testing such as DT, pH, moisture, etc.
- Knowledge of annual qualification and calibration of Micro instruments
- Ability to maintain inventory and documentation (SDS, Certificates of Analysis, etc) for consumables, reagents, kits, etc.
- Adherence to all Biosafety practices and regulations.
- Ability to assist in Environmental monitoring testing
- Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
- Effective communication regarding testing status, results, and technical concerns
- Adherence to laboratory safety protocols and data integrity standards
Responsibilities
- Test raw materials, stability samples and finished products for pathogens (E. coli, Listeria, Salmonella, Staphylococcus)
