About The Position

As our Quality Control Lead, you’ll guide a team of inspectors ensuring every aircraft leaving our facility meets the highest FAA standards. In this role, you’ll balance hands-on inspections with team leadership, from reviewing flight logs and verifying repairs to mentoring inspectors and driving operational excellence. Requirements

  • A&P License required
  • 5 years of heavy commercial aircraft maintenance experience
  • Minimum of 2 years inspection experience
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Good working knowledge of all aircraft job tasks, through understanding of all applicable FAR’s and company policy and procedures through knowledge of all aircraft manuals and related materials.
  • Strong knowledge of all company and customer paperwork and a thorough knowledge of blueprint and drawing instructions.
  • A strong level of interpersonal skills is required to maintain an effective relationship with various departments, inspectors, co-workers, supervision and the customer.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and direct all personnel assigned to your crew.
  • Review incoming aircraft maintenance logs for items of work required to be accomplished at the Repair Station.
  • Procure required forms and work orders and transfer work to be accomplished to forms.
  • Assign and monitor inspectors' duties.
  • Survey all work in progress.
  • Accept or reject work accomplished for all items generated on the work order.
  • Ensure that shift inspectors give essential tie-in to their relief to ensure proper completion of work in progress.
  • Be responsible for entries in the aircraft maintenance flight logs, as well as the airworthiness release.
  • Check for proper installation, security, safety and workmanship.
  • Conduct pressure checks if necessary.
  • Check for proper material and fasteners.
  • Check for conformance to specification per repair, maintenance or other relevant manual or applicable engineering instruction approved by the FAA.
