This position is for a testing analyst in the Kalamazoo Immunology QC Laboratory working on first shift. The Immunology Lab performs testing for Atgam, Heparin, Thrombin and CSAV.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED with 3 years of experience.
  • Candidates with advanced science degrees and relevant experience may also be considered as follows: Associate’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related science degree with at least 2 years experience in related field or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related science with 0-1 years of experience in related field.
  • Well organized, able to work on multiple projects
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills within a diverse team setting
  • Basic understanding of laboratory safety and protocols
  • Permanent work authorization in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GxP)
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Familiarity and basic understanding of common AI tools and a curiosity for learning how they can be used to enhance productivity

Responsibilities

  • Works effectively in a fast-paced, customer-oriented, team laboratory environment to analyze in-process materials, APIs, and/or finished product samples in direct support of the Immunology lab.
  • Independently performs testing and documents results for qualitative or quantitative assays on samples using techniques that vary from use of standard laboratory equipment to highly modern and automated instrumentation.
  • Troubleshoots test methods and analytical equipment.
  • Participates in laboratory investigations as required.
