Requirements

Experience preparing samples using various lab equipment.
Experience performing standard tests and evaluations.
Experience following detailed instructions and established methods and procedures.
Experience with color evaluation on a color computer.
Experience monitoring product quality to ensure compliance to standards and specifications.
Experience maintaining accurate and thorough records of observation and results.
Experience communicating results verbally and in reports.
Experience monitoring test fences.
Experience compiling results of tests and analyses.
Experience setting up and conducting experiments, tests, and analyses using standard paint test procedures and physical and chemical techniques.
Experience conducting chemical and physical laboratory tests.
Experience providing and maintaining a safe work environment.
Experience participating in safety programs, committees, or teams.
Experience conducting laboratory and plant safety audits.
Experience preparing paint batches for products.
Experience following standardized formulas.
Experience creating experimental formulas.
Experience performing lab support activities.
Experience with routine maintenance or upkeep of equipment and lab areas.

Responsibilities

Prepare samples using various lab equipment and following detailed instructions from the manager.
Perform standard tests and evaluations of samples using established methods and procedures, including color evaluation on the color computer.
Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
Maintain accurate and thorough records of observations and results, communicating them verbally and in reports requested by the supervisor.
Monitor test fences.
Compile results of tests and analyses.
Set up and conduct experiments, tests, and analyses using standard paint test procedures and physical and chemical techniques.
Conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests.
Provide and maintain a safe work environment by participating in safety programs, committees, or teams, and by conducting laboratory and plant safety audits.
Prepare paint batches for products following standardized formulas or creating experimental formulas.
Perform lab support activities, which may include routine maintenance or upkeep of equipment and lab areas.
