Requirements

  • Experience preparing samples using various lab equipment.
  • Experience performing standard tests and evaluations.
  • Experience following detailed instructions and established methods and procedures.
  • Experience with color evaluation on a color computer.
  • Experience monitoring product quality to ensure compliance to standards and specifications.
  • Experience maintaining accurate and thorough records of observation and results.
  • Experience communicating results verbally and in reports.
  • Experience monitoring test fences.
  • Experience compiling results of tests and analyses.
  • Experience setting up and conducting experiments, tests, and analyses using standard paint test procedures and physical and chemical techniques.
  • Experience conducting chemical and physical laboratory tests.
  • Experience providing and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Experience participating in safety programs, committees, or teams.
  • Experience conducting laboratory and plant safety audits.
  • Experience preparing paint batches for products.
  • Experience following standardized formulas.
  • Experience creating experimental formulas.
  • Experience performing lab support activities.
  • Experience with routine maintenance or upkeep of equipment and lab areas.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare samples using various lab equipment and following detailed instructions from the manager.
  • Perform standard tests and evaluations of samples using established methods and procedures, including color evaluation on the color computer.
  • Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough records of observations and results, communicating them verbally and in reports requested by the supervisor.
  • Monitor test fences.
  • Compile results of tests and analyses.
  • Set up and conduct experiments, tests, and analyses using standard paint test procedures and physical and chemical techniques.
  • Conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests.
  • Provide and maintain a safe work environment by participating in safety programs, committees, or teams, and by conducting laboratory and plant safety audits.
  • Prepare paint batches for products following standardized formulas or creating experimental formulas.
  • Perform lab support activities, which may include routine maintenance or upkeep of equipment and lab areas.
