About The Position

Grand Valley Manufacturing is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our team. This position is responsible for executing quality inspection operations, as described in the manufacturing router. Duties may be changed, or additional duties assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements

• High school Diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 2-5 years in a manufacturing setting, preferably in an inspection role or related field.

Nice To Haves

• Education in vocational or technical school preferred.
• Experience operating inspection tools and equipment (calipers, micrometers, CMM, Faro Arms, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Excellent mathematical skills
• Able to work in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings, plans, and routers to fully understand the desired customer requirements and specifications.
• Follow inspection procedures, methods, and certification processes.
• Perform a wide variety of gauging set-ups and devise methods of checking unusual parts.
• Perform quality inspections on a wide variety of machined metal parts of complicated form with exceptionally close tolerances, ensuring the final product meets the provided specifications.
• Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.
• Report any anomalies/non-conformances.
• Participate in non-conformance investigations and the resolution of quality-related issues.
• Able to use common inspection tools (calipers, tape measure, micrometers, etc.).
• Possesses knowledge of GD&T
