About The Position

The jobsite located in Baytown, TX has an opening for a QC Inspector. Our Team Optimized Process Designs, LLC (OPD) is an engineering/construction company headquartered in Katy, TX with an expertise in the natural gas, natural gas liquids, and petrochemical industries. OPD is part of the larger Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) organization which provides a variety of capabilities across many industries. Requirements

2+ years of experience as Quality Control Inspector in the Oil & Gas Industry.
Proven ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers.
Basic Computer Skills

Nice To Haves

5+ years of experience as Quality Control Inspector in the Oil & Gas Industry
AWS CWI Certification.
ASNT Level II VT Certification.
ACI Concrete Field Testing Tech Grade 1
Visual acuity to Jaeger J1 test chart within the last 12 months.
NACE Coating Inspector Certification.
API Certifications (570, 510, or 653)
Knowledge of AMSE Section V, IX and B31.3.

Responsibilities

Effectively work with others to implement improvements to quality and/or performance.
Approve incoming supplier materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
Confirming only approved welders, procedures, materials etc. are being used in production. Inspections are performed professionally, safely and without bias.
Document inspection results by completing reports/logs and inputting data into OPD’s Construction Management System (CMS).
Serve as an accountable leader of Safety and Environmental Concerns at Field Sites.
Actively participate in a strong safety culture
Recognize safety hazards and risks
Participate in onsite safety meetings
Follow OPD and client safety policies and procedures
Be aware of changing conditions on an active jobsite
Be on time to the jobsite each day ready for work
Display a positive attitude and be able to work in a team environment
