Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience operating AOI equipment
  • High School Diploma
  • IPC-A-610 Certified
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485 & ESD

Responsibilities

  • Operate the AOI machine and provide AOI support.
  • Perform quality inspections using AOI, ensuring accurate and consistent detection of component placement and solder joint defects.
  • Work closely with processing and engineering teams to improve visual defect yields.
  • Inspect components (feature chips, ICs, joints, text, connectors, etc.) using the AOI.
  • Inspect PCBA’s to IPC-A-610 standards, using magnification aids.
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, bills of material (BOMs), MPI, ECN, Deviation, and other manufacturing documentation related to inspection.
  • Load AOI programs per instructions.
  • Perform AOI inspection for accurate, consistent detection of SMT paste, component placement, and solder joint defects.
  • Support engineers and production operators with equipment training, data collection, and system evaluations.
  • Assist engineers in data collection and engineering evaluations.
  • Document defects.
  • Inspect per IPC-A-610 standards using a microscope.
  • Support improvement initiatives and actively participate to improve work environment (5S).
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities related to AOI Support and Production as assigned.
