QC Inspector 2 - AOI - Day Shift

Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating AOI equipment
- High School Diploma
- IPC-A-610 Certified
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485 & ESD
Responsibilities
- Operate the AOI machine and provide AOI support.
- Perform quality inspections using AOI, ensuring accurate and consistent detection of component placement and solder joint defects.
- Work closely with processing and engineering teams to improve visual defect yields.
- Inspect components (feature chips, ICs, joints, text, connectors, etc.) using the AOI.
- Inspect PCBA’s to IPC-A-610 standards, using magnification aids.
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, bills of material (BOMs), MPI, ECN, Deviation, and other manufacturing documentation related to inspection.
- Load AOI programs per instructions.
- Perform AOI inspection for accurate, consistent detection of SMT paste, component placement, and solder joint defects.
- Support engineers and production operators with equipment training, data collection, and system evaluations.
- Assist engineers in data collection and engineering evaluations.
- Document defects.
- Inspect per IPC-A-610 standards using a microscope.
- Support improvement initiatives and actively participate to improve work environment (5S).
- Perform other duties and responsibilities related to AOI Support and Production as assigned.
