About The Position

The QC Inspector must be familiar with all quality-related phases of pipeline construction as they will be primarily responsible for inspecting pipeline installation, verifying, and documenting that installations meet appropriate ASME, API, AWS codes and owner specifications. Requirements

  • A CWI welding inspection certification is required.
  • The ability to work 84 hours a week on a 6x1 rotation is required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience conducting inspections in production fields, pipelines, or facility work in the Oil and Gas industry, and/or on the North Slope is required.
  • Knowledge of pipe welding, structural welding and erection, coatings, civil and documentation requirements are required.
  • The ability to read and understand project specifications, codes, industry standards, project drawings, and other related documents in a clear and concise manner is required.
  • Strong familiarity with the ConocoPhillips and AES-HCC Safety Philosophies and striving for an Incident Free Culture is required.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Driver License required.
  • Candidates must be able to comply with the ASRC Energy Driving Records and Motor Vehicle Use Policy, successfully pass a pre-employment drug test which may include both urinalysis and hair testing, and meet the physical requirements of working in a remote location under arctic conditions.
  • In addition, candidates will be required to pass a Fit-for-Duty Exam, complete a background check, and obtain and maintain an access badge for the work location.

Nice To Haves

  • Five (5) or more years of experience working as a QC Inspector in the Oil and Gas industry and/or on the North Slope is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and verify pipeline installation to ensure ASME, API, AWS codes and Owner specifications are met.
  • Tracking piping Joint and Heat numbers.
  • VSM/HSM Bolting and Setting.
  • VSM Slurry.
  • Pipe saddle installation.
  • Welding inspection of Structural components.
  • Welding inspection of Pipeline welds.
  • Welding inspection of Repair welds.
  • Submittal of information for NDE requests.
  • TVA installation.
  • Coating and Insulation inspection.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all installations; all reports are computer based, and the QC Inspector will be responsible for providing their own laptop.
  • Interpret isometric drawings, plan drawings, P&IDs, and Owner specifications.
  • Work with the Owner QA to ensure Owner expectations are being met.
  • Other duties will be assigned to this position as needs require.
  • Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
  • Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
