QC Inspector 1st shift
About The Position
Chromalloy is a global engineering & solutions company. We are a leading provider of aftermarket parts, repairs, and solutions that safely & reliably extend the life of aircraft engines and gas turbines. We develop, manufacture and repair critical turbine components for a range of engine platforms. Our solutions support the engines running the aerospace, energy and defense industries around the world. We're looking for a QC Inspector to support receiving, in-process, and final inspections in our aerospace manufacturing operation. You'll verify parts meet customer, quality, and regulatory requirements while helping keep production moving on schedule.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1–2 years of quality inspection experience
- Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and customer requirements
- Experience using precision measuring equipment
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Good computer, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
Responsibilities
- Perform receiving, in-process, outsourcing, and final inspections
- Verify part counts, serial numbers, certifications, and customer requirements
- Review travelers, routing instructions, and production documentation
- Inspect parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
- Identify, document, and help resolve nonconformances
- Support production teams with quality-related questions and issues
- Complete inspection records, certifications, and quality documentation
- Validate outside processing documentation and certifications
- Assist with corrective actions and continuous improvement efforts
- Help drive quality, process consistency, and on-time delivery
