About The Position

Silent-Aire Limited Partnership, a wholly owned subsidiary of Johnson Controls, is a technology-driven company that designs, engineers, and manufactures hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutions. This role is located at our facility in Nisku, and reliable transportation is required. The QC Inspector Electrical - Journeyman will be responsible for creating and maintaining QA/QC control documentation, performing daily inspections of in-process and final units, and ensuring adherence to company quality standards and safety regulations. This role involves detailed documentation, sub-assembly and final unit inspections, and collaboration with various teams to ensure product quality and safety.

Requirements

  • Journeyman status in Electrical.
  • Reliable transportation to commute to the Nisku facility.

  • Experience in a commercial/industrial environment.
  • Familiarity with data center solutions or cooling systems.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain QA/QC control documentation.
  • Organize all inspection documentation papers and online photos provided by inspectors.
  • Perform daily inspections of in-process units, ensuring sealing is completed, no missing parts, and all other in-process inspections are of high quality.
  • Ensure productions are inspected as determined by company requirements, checking of paperwork.
  • Complete daily inspection of paperwork for all in-process units and report any deficiencies to the Quality Supervisor.
  • Complete sub-assembly inspections such as motor, coil, evap., furnace, and paint.
  • Complete unit final inspections.
  • Review inspection documents and make unit packages.
  • Report any observed safety issues to the Safety Coach or Safety Coordinator.
  • Assist with the education of other inspectors and production team members.
  • Inspect drawings and marking/breaking work and ensure it is correct.
  • Assist with marking Engineering changes where drawings are not correct and submit to the Quality Supervisor.
  • Inspect all aspects of units with the appropriate forms from the beginning to the end and record all discrepancies.
  • Organize all inspection documentation papers and online photos.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.
  • Other duties as required.
