About The Position

This is a new role in the Quality Control lab, created because the business is growing. The QC Chemist serves as the GC and HPLC chemist on their shift, testing raw materials, bulk batches, and finished goods so products can be released on time. The role is a hands-on bench position with responsibility for maintaining instruments and helping strengthen laboratory methods as the product line grows. The position is based in a laboratory inside a manufacturing plant and is 100% onsite. The schedule will be mid-shift or second shift, with exact hours still being finalized. The role is full-time and non-exempt (hourly), with pay of $25–$40 per hour depending on experience, plus a shift differential and annual bonus eligibility.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related science.
At least 2 years of current, hands-on GC and HPLC testing in a manufacturing QC lab in a GMP, FDA, or ISO environment.
Experience with routine instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
Strong documentation habits and attention to detail.
A track record of building depth in a role over time.

Nice To Haves

Experience in personal care, cosmetics, wipes, OTC, or consumer products.
Method validation experience.
Experience with Agilent OpenLab or ChemStation, or Waters Empower software.

Responsibilities

Test and release raw materials, bulk batches, and finished goods using GC and HPLC, as well as routine wet chemistry including pH, viscosity, and Karl Fischer.
Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot GC and HPLC instruments, including minor repairs.
Investigate out-of-specification results and document findings with QA.
Help develop, modify, and validate test methods to meet FDA and GMP requirements.
Keep complete, accurate, audit-ready records.
Partner with production to keep products moving on schedule.
