About The Position

The Quality Control (QC) Chemist is responsible for performing analytical testing and inspection of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with internal specifications and customer requirements. This role supports a range of chemical and materials-based products, requiring flexibility across diverse testing methods and the ability to operate in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field preferred
  • Relevant laboratory experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • 1–3 years of laboratory or QC experience preferred
  • Experience with chemical, physical, and materials testing methods
  • Experience working in a regulated or quality-driven environment (ISO, IATF, GMP) is a plus
  • Familiarity with analytical testing methods and laboratory best practices
  • Basic understanding of calibration, measurement systems, and data analysis
  • Experience with LIMS or data systems preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic calculations

Responsibilities

  • Perform a comprehensive range of laboratory tests, including dimensional and physical inspections; thermal, environmental, and electrical testing; chemical compositional, impurity, ionic, solution-based, and spectroscopic analyses; and evaluation of optical, surface, viscosity, and flow properties to verify material performance and compliance.
  • Execute test methods in accordance with SOPs, work instructions, and customer-specific requirements
  • Accurately record, calculate, and report results in laboratory systems
  • Ensure all data is complete, accurate, and compliant with quality standards
  • Document results in LIMS, logbooks, and electronic systems in real time
  • Identify and escalate out-of-specification (OOS) or abnormal results
  • Support investigations, retesting, and root cause analysis as needed
  • Support daily lab workflow to meet turnaround time (TAT) expectations
  • Prepare samples, reagents, and standards for testing
  • Follow standardized workflows to ensure consistency and repeatability
  • Operate laboratory equipment in accordance with established procedures
  • Perform routine checks, calibrations, and verifications
  • Identify equipment issues and escalate for maintenance or repair
  • Support coordination of internal or external calibration activities
