About The Position

This is an entry-level role designed for a reliable, motivated individual who wants to master the technical skills of Quality Control while supporting one-of-a-kind, life-saving treatments. As a QC Analyst I supporting our Cell Therapy asset, you are the front-line guardian of a highly sensitive manufacturing environment. Because Cell Therapy involves handling patient-derived cells that cannot be sterilized at the end of the process, your work in microbial control is the final line of defense.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • This is an Entry-Level (0–4 years) role.
  • Strong ability to follow complex instructions and a high attention to detail.
  • Comfortable interpreting data (both independently and with guidance).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to Safety: A proactive mindset regarding safety and a willingness to take responsibility for the well-being of yourself and your coworkers.

Nice To Haves

  • An Associate’s Degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related Science field is preferred.
  • You understand that in Cell Therapy, there is no room for error, and you take pride in doing a job correctly every time.
  • Since this role supports our 2nd shift (Wednesday–Saturday), we need a team player who is committed to their schedule and arriving on time.

Responsibilities

  • Execute routine HVAC and Utility sampling throughout our specialized Cell Therapy suites to ensure a pristine environment for patient-cell processing.
  • Run microbial test samples for In-Process, Lot Release, and ongoing customer Stability studies.
  • Utilize specialized laboratory computer systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to track and manage critical environmental data.
  • Apply rigorous Data Integrity principles to all work, ensuring that every record is accurate, complete, and compliant with Lonza’s global policies.
  • Work on semi-routine assignments where you will learn to recognize any environmental deviations and escalate them immediately to protect the integrity of the cell therapy batch.
  • Act as a dedicated member of the Microbial Control team, providing on-time, high-quality results to meet the fast-paced demands of our Cell Therapy manufacturing schedule.
